Overview
Index Searches allow you to obtain information on a property from a specific piece of data, eg either Owner Name, Address, Lot & Plan or Volume & Folio searches, depending on what information you already have to conduct the searches with. The Address Search provides information corresponding to the address entered into the search bar. Please note that Land Index information is updated when a Title is finalised at the Land Registry, and in some instances can take up to two weeks to process.
Who Is It For?
Land information is available for anybody conducting land investigations and/or conveyancing.
What Do You Get Out Of It?
The Address Search will provide you with Title reference (Volume & Folio numbers), municipality and council property number (where applicable) and Lot & Plan numbers.
The Application Process
Not all Victorian addresses have been matched to parcels of land yet, meaning your search may not always return results. You can improve your chances of finding a match by using more general search terms, including using wildcard “*” “%” symbols. For example, 5* will show all houses containing number 5 and above, while adding a % after a number will show all proceeding odd or even digits depending on the number. For the best chance of success, please ensure the spelling in your search is correct. Results are usually delivered instantly.
