A QLD Historical Title Search is an electronic search statement, from the Queensland Land Registry Service in Brisbane, of all the activity on a Title sinces the Registry was automated in 1994*.
This search will provide information such as the current owner’s name, and any mortgages or caveats registered on the Title. It will also provide details of previous owners, going back to 1994. You will see that the “Dealing” Number (also known as the Document Number, or Instrument Number) of each transaction is also given, should you need it.
If there is a particular transaction you are interested in, you can order a scan of the original Document by clicking on the following link, & selecting “Dealing” as the Document Type: https://www.ib.com.au/buy/185/qld-imaged-dealings
Combined with a couple of other associated searches, an Historical Title search can be invaluable to somebody researching their family tree, or the history of their house.
