When you want to investigate the history of a property or Title, it can sometimes be difficult to find the time required, or to even work out where to begin. For this reason, Information Brokers’ team of experienced Land Title searchers has developed the QLD Historical Investigations and Title Searching service (HITS).
You simply tell us what you’re searching for, and what information you already have, then we do the work for you.
The HITS service will provide you with historical records such as copies of old, paper Certificates of Title (prior to automation in 1994), showing the full history of a Title, and scans of original Documents that were registered on the old Title, such as Transfers, and sometimes other old Documents, like Mortgages, & Caveats. The Transfers, in particular, will provide you with a wealth of information such as the Tranferors, & Transferees, along with historical sales prices.
